Join the BonnBrain Conference 2026 – From Genes to Circuits and Behavior

The BonnBrain Conference 2026 will take place in Bonn, Germany, from March 23–25, 2026, bringing together leading neuroscientists from across Europe and beyond to discuss the latest advances in brain research.

This interdisciplinary meeting, jointly organized by the University of Bonn, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), and the Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology of Behavior – caesar, will explore topics at the interface of genes, neural circuits, and behavior.
From Genes to Circuits and Behavior
The international BonnBrain3 Conference brings together experts from diverse fields to explore how neural circuits control behavior. As an interdisciplinary meeting, BonnBrain3 highlights ground-breaking research and encourages lively discussions and informal exchanges among scientists at all career stages. The conference is aimed at students, postdocs, principal investigators and industry partners.
The conference features a diverse lineup of speakers and discussion leaders from leading institutions worldwide. Keynote speakers include Cori Bargmann (Rockefeller University), Edvard Moser (Kavli Institute), Rosa Paolicelli (UNIL), Maude Baldwin (MPI Biological Intelligence), and Zachary Knight (UCSF). In addition to symposia and keynotes, it offers poster sessions, short talks selected from submitted abstracts, a student-organized symposium, and networking opportunities across disciplines.
Researchers, postdocs, and students are warmly invited to apply and take part in this exciting event. Please note that there are limited seats available for attendees, and applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until all seats are filled. We recommend that you submit your application early.
The KI NeurotechEU team will fund up to 10 KI participants (registration + travel expenses), ranging from students to junior principal investigators.
*Funding is not required to participate — you are welcome to attend using your own funding.
