International student at KI receives prestigious award
During a digital ceremony last Thursday, May 28, 19 international students in Sweden received the Global Swede award. One of them is KI Health Informatics student Winner Ng!
The Global Swede award is awarded by the Swedish Government and the Swedish Institute to international top students who have distinguished themselves in the fields of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. During the digital ceremony the students were greeted by Anna Hallberg, Swedish Minister of Foreign Trade and Nordic Affairs, and Madeleine Sjöstedt, Director General of the Swedish Institute.
"Global Swede is our way to each year thank some outstanding students for choosing Sweden, and at the same time welcome them to our global alumni network. It is a challenging time to be graduating, but with their experiences gained in Sweden, I am convinced that they will contribute to build bridges between Sweden and the rest of the world," says Anna Hallberg in a press release from The Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
