Are you a student at KI and curious about the opportunities your education can lead to? In this new mentoring programme, you will be matched with a KI alumni who will share their experiences and reflect with you on possible career paths.

– The mentoring programme gives students the opportunity to feel better prepared for working life by offering new perspectives on careers and future professional roles. Our hope is that it will provide a clearer picture of opportunities after graduation and increase motivation in studies, says Jakob Zetterberg, who is responsible for the mentoring programme.

How the programme works

As a student, you will be matched with a mentor – a former KI student, researcher or staff member who has at least three years of professional or research experience. The programme runs from October 2026 to April 2027, and during this period you and your mentor will meet at least four times. You decide together on the time and place.

– The matching is based on the student’s motivation and preferences regarding the mentor’s background and experience. We also take into account field of study, interests and language when creating the matches, says Jakob Zetterberg.

Application

To apply, you must have completed at least one term of a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at KI. You are also expected to:

  • Attend the welcome dinner on 7 October.
  • Meet your mentor at least four times.
  • Be prepared, engaged and curious throughout the programme.

As the number of mentoring places is limited, we cannot guarantee a mentor for all applicants. You will be notified about your match at the end of August/beginning of September.
