In this lunch seminar, Luis Fernando Farieta introduces key principles, policies and practical tools for managing intellectual property and research governance at Karolinska Institutet, with a particular focus on collaborative and translational research in academic health science environments.
This Zoom seminar provides doctoral supervisors with an overview of intellectual property, research governance and innovation within the Karolinska Institutet research environment. Participants will gain practical knowledge of KI's intellectual property guidelines, research collaboration frameworks and the responsibilities of doctoral supervisors. Particular attention will be given to the Swedish teacher's exemption, translational research and the opportunities and challenges associated with collaborations between Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital.
