Welcome to the 2026 KI–NIH–UCL Joint Neuroscience Symposium!
The symposium will take place primarily online, with the option to join in person at Karolinska Institutet, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), or University College London (UCL).
The programme is spread over two days and includes inspiring talks, interactive discussions, opportunities to meet and connect with other participants, and short lightning talks by doctoral students from KI, NIH, and UCL.

Dr Soyon Hong (Group Leader, UK Dementia Research Institute at UCL) is a specialist in the relationship between microglia and synapses. Her lab explores these interactions in a disease context.
