The Sweden Brazil Research & Innovation Conference 2026 gathers leading partners from academia, industry, and the public sector to strengthen collaboration in life science, digital health, and AI. Marking 200 years of bilateral relations, the conference aims to spark new partnerships, joint initiatives, and a long-term roadmap for advancing health and medical innovation in both countries.

Sweden and Brazil share long-term diplomatic and commercial relations, with formal ties established in the early 19th century and growing trade relations since the late 1800s. As we celebrate the 200-year anniversary of these formal relations in 2026, there is a strong and mutual interest in expanding collaboration in research and innovation—particularly in Life Science, Digital Health, and AI.
