One can also create a learning environment where everyone can participate and are included. In this workshop you will learn about how to integrate equal opportunities in your teaching and assessment.

Equal opportunities and higher education
Higher education institutions shall work to promote equal opportunities to ensure that everyone's equal rights and opportunities are met. Integrating equal opportunities and gender equality into all levels of education is an obvious part of how KI should work based on applicable laws and regulations.
KI’s Strategy 2030 also states that: “We must ensure that our educational programmes provide the knowledge about gender, power, and equal opportunities that is fundamental to equity in healthcare”. KI has therefore made extra investments in 2021 and 2022 to support teachers to integrate equal opportunities in teaching.
In this workshop we will, among other things, present a new toolkit - Equal opportunities in teaching.
Aim and learning outcomes
In this workshop you will learn about how to integrate equal opportunities in your teaching and assessment. You will get basic knowledge about equal opportunities and methods for integrating equal opportunities to your teaching and assessment. The workshop will be an interactive space where we try out different ways to integrate equal opportunities.
We will have examples to work with, but if you have the possibility, please prepare yourself by picking out a case you use in teaching, an examination, or another example that you want to develop in relation to equal opportunities.
