Abstract
In this talk, I will provide an overview of how, over the decade since its introduction, the Multisensory Correlation Detector (MCD) model has evolved into a general-purpose, stimulus-computable account of audiovisual perception. By detecting spatiotemporal correlations between sensory signals, the model can process complex naturalistic audiovisual scenes and account for an expanding range of spatial and temporal phenomena in multisensory perception across humans and other mammals.
