Apply for research grants for collaboration with partners in Africa

Junior researchers are invited to apply for funding to strengthen collaboration or to establish new collaboration with partners in low- and middle-income countries in Africa.

The Internationalisation Board invites junior researchers to apply for funding (50,000 - 100,000 SEK) to strengthen or establish new collaboration with partners in Africa. The purpose is to support projects aiming to fight poverty and achieve sustainable health and development.

Timeline:

  • The application period is from 1 June to 1 September 2026. The application is submitted through the system KI Prisma
  • Project period for use of awarded funds: 2027.

Eligibility:

  • KI employees or affiliated researchers with a doctoral degree (not yet Docent).
  • Priority for those who earned their degree after 1 Jan 2019.
