Updated guidelines for KI's crisis organisation

A well-functioning crisis organisation is important to be able to handle special events/crises and to minimize damage to KI's operations, employees, researchers and students. Updated guidelines for the organisation are now available, including crisis plans.

Karolinska Institutet has extensive operations both in Sweden and internationally. A well-functioning crisis organisation is important to be able to handle special events and crises, and to minimise the harmful effects.

What is a special event/crisis?

  • Special event is an event that is so extensive or serious that resources must be organised, managed and used in a special way.
  • Crisis is an event that affects many people and large parts of the business. The crisis often occurs unexpectedly and without warning.
