Professors at KI new members of EMBO
The European Molecular Biology Organization, EMBO, announced on May 7th that 106 distinguished researchers in the life sciences were newly elected to membership in the organisation.
Professor Sten Grillner and Professor Ole Kiehn, both at the Department of Neuroscience, and Professor Per-Olof Berggren, at the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery, are among the new EMBO members.
On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, EMBO has decided to expand the scope of its membership to honour the progress that has been made in the fields of neuroscience, as well as ecology and evolution. 50 of the new members for 2014 are scientists who have made exceptional contributions to these research areas.
