The Infrastructure Board at Karolinska Institutet has been appointed a new chair. At the same time, the mandate period for the board's current members has been extended until the end of the year.

KI's President Annika Östman Wernerson has decided to appoint Caroline Graff as the new chair of the Infrastructure Board at Karolinska Institutet. She will take up the role on 1 April 2026 and serve as chair until 31 December 2026. Caroline Graff is already a member of the board and is a professor at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society.

“I look forward to taking on the role of chair and, together with my fellow members, further developing the Infrastructure Board, placing strong collegial influence at the centre of the development of KI’s research infrastructure,” says Caroline Graff.

In the same decision, the current mandate period for the other members of the Infrastructure Board has also been extended until 31 December 2026. This extension is intended to give the incoming Faculty Board time to organise the process of appointing new members.

The decision was made by the Vice-Chancellor on 31 March 2026.

The background to the decision is that the previous Chair of the Infrastructure Board, Karin Dahlman-Wright, has been appointed director of KI’s new research infrastructure organisation RIKI on 1 April 2026.
