Lars Frelin appointed as Facility Manager of FM South
Lars Frelin has been appointed as Facility Manager of the new joint service organisation at KI Campus South. Lars Frelin currently serves as Facility Manager of ANA Futura and has now been tasked with leading the continued development and establishment of the joint service organization. The appointment starts on 1 October 2026.
Earlier this year, the Vice President of KI Campus South decided to establish a joint service organization for the research buildings at KI South: Facility Management South (FM South). A working group appointed by the Vice President for KI Campus South, with representatives from both steering groups for ANA Futura and Neo, has, following a recently concluded recruitment process, appointed Lars Frelin as Facility Manager of the new organisation. In this role, he reports to both steering committees.

Next steps and dialogue meeting
The next step is for the Facility Manager to develop a proposal outlining the structure and organization of FM South. The proposal will then be jointly reviewed and approved by the steering committees of ANA Futura and Neo.
During the autumn, an information and dialogue meeting will be organized for all staff members in both research buildings. At this meeting, we will provide an update on the ongoing process and offer an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
The goal of FM South is to create a long-term, sustainable, efficient, and integrated service organization that meets the needs of the activities and operations in both ANA Futura and Neo. The plan is for the new joint service organization to be fully operational by 1 January 2027.
