Following the announcement, students had the opportunity to hear Anna Krook, member of the Nobel Assembly at KI, speak about this year’s three Nobel Laureates and their research. Students were also able to ask questions about the prize-winning discoveries and learn more about the process of selecting Nobel Prize recipients.

"As a student on the Biomedicine Programme, which has a strong research focus, the Nobel Prize is a great source of inspiration for me. It was exciting to experience the announcement together with other students and to discuss this year’s prize and what it could mean for future research," says Sandra Valjus, biomedicine student at KI.
