KI researchers participating in science festival
On 25 September, the science festival Researchers’ Friday (Forskarfredag) and the Researchers' Grand Prix competition will be organised by Vetenskapens hus, KI, Stockholm University and KTH. The audience at Albanova mainly consists of upper secondary school students from schools in Stockholm, but the event is open to anyone interested in research.

This year, Researchers' Friday (Forskarfredag) is celebrating its 20th anniversary, marked with programme events that both look back on the journey of the past 20 years and ahead to the research of the future – around 20 years from now.
Two researchers from KI will be giving talks: Emilie Helte will discuss what we should eat on a planet with limited resources and an increasingly warm climate. Jessica Alm will talk about how the research laboratory became Sweden’s largest testing centre during the pandemic.
As in previous years, Philip Pärnamets will take part in the panel discussion on facts versus opinions.
During the ForskarFredag event, the Researchers' Grand Prix competition will also take place, where the winner is the person who can present their research in the most engaging way within 4 minutes. This year, KI is represented by Samuelle Falk and Daniel Andersson.
Other programme events and the Science Fair will feature, among others, Elin Gruyters, Lars Bräutigam, Joseph LLoyd, Caroline Wasén, Dorota Religa, Mattia Zaghi and Daniel Holl.
KI’s educational programmes will also be represented with an information stand staffed by KI students.
Activities at SciLifeLab and The Cell
During Researchers’ Friday (Forskarfredag), activities and guided tours will also take place at SciLifeLab and The Cell. At The Cell, the National Museum of Science and Technology’s branch in Hagastaden, students from KI will be taking part.
Other activities during the week: Researchers' Tuesday
On Tuesday 22 September, researchers from KI will host panel discussions for lower secondary school pupils. The initiator of "Researcher Tuesday" is the Department of Medical Biostatistics and Epidemiology (MEB), but researchers from other departments will also take part in the panel discussions.
