Jeroen Goos appointed as docent in radiology and medical imaging

The Docent Committee decided on June 9, 2026, to appoint Jeroen Goos as docent in radiology and medical imaging.

Jeroen Goos is a team leader at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, within the Division of Neuro. Trained as Biomedical Engineer, he obtained his PhD in Medicine from VU University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and completed postdoctoral training in molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical sciences at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA.
Jeroen Goos' research focuses on developing novel radiopharmaceuticals and molecular imaging technologies for precision cancer medicine, with a particular emphasis on improving the delivery of targeted therapies across the blood–brain barrier for the treatment of brain tumours, as well as on innovative cell tracking technologies for monitoring cell therapy. His research has been supported by grants from the Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Brain Foundation, Åke Wibergs Foundation and Karolinska Institutet, among others.
