Elections for faculty representatives in the Nominating Assembly are now underway

Elections for academic representatives to KI’s collegial bodies are taking place between 28 April and 3 May. Around 180 candidates were nominated for the elections to the Faculty Board and the committees, and 22 seats are to be filled. Find the full candidate list below.

Voting takes place electronically via KI-survey within the Nominating Assembly, which consists of representatives from all KI departments.

Many nominees

During the nomination period from 16 February to 8 March, approximately 180 nominations were received for the positions of teacher representatives on KI’s collegial bodies: the Faculty Board (FN) and the committees KU, KFU and KF. The Nomination Assembly’s Nomination Committee has since made a selection, which was presented to the Nomination Assembly on 27 April. They have the formal responsibility of finalising the lists of candidates ahead of the election itself, which is now taking place.

Important role

The role of the academic members is, in their capacity as researchers and teachers with doctoral degrees, to contribute their experience, knowledge and holistic perspective to issues and decisions concerning KI’s education and research. In this way, they help to strengthen KI’s development as a leading medical university.

Election results in early May

The election results will be finalised and announced in early May. The results may be adjusted in accordance with principles of gender balance.

A total of 22 seats are to be filled for the term of office from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2029.
