Video games can provide relaxation, community and a place to grow. But what happens when gaming starts to control life instead of the other way round? Meet researchers, creators and the games industry in a discussion about the opportunities, downsides and grey areas of gaming.
Approximately half of all children and adults play video games. For most people, it is a natural part of everyday life, but for some, the line between engagement and addiction can be difficult to define. When gaming disorder becomes a new diagnosis in 2028, new questions arise about responsibility, treatment and what problematic gaming actually is.
During this evening’s LifeScience Bar, the panel will include:
