Welcome to visit one of the largest zebrafish facilities in the Nordic region. During approximately one hour, staff will provide an introduction to the facility, presenting the technical equipment, animal care, and research activities.
The guided tour offers insight into how an animal facility operates, how animal welfare is ensured, and how zebrafish are used in research on diseases and medicines.
The visit also showcases the zebrafish life cycle, from mating and fertilisation to adulthood. Embryos and fry can be studied under a microscope, including fluorescent specimens. The facility’s high‑throughput system for drug development will also be presented. There will be time for questions and discussion during and after the tour.
