This seminar welcomes Dr. Zachary Aaron Graham (IHMC, USA), who will present his interdisciplinary research on optimizing physical performance and exercise interventions across the translational spectrum.

Dr. Zachary Aaron Graham is a Research Scientist (Principal Investigator equivalent) at the Florida Institute of Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC), USA. His research focuses on exercise-based interventions to improve health and physical performance across the lifespan and disease states.

Using interdisciplinary approaches such as in-depth phenotyping, biomechanics, mitochondrial function, and integrative molecular multi-omics, Dr. Graham aims to optimize and personalize exercise from elite athletics to rehabilitation and intensive care. His main research areas include aging, spinal cord injury, and Parkinson’s disease. He is a co-investigator in the Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity Consortium (MoTrPAC) and co-leads the National MoTrPAC Histology Core.
