Join the online seminar hosted by Boğaziçi University, where Dr. Sergio Castro-Gomez (University of Bonn) will present recent advances in the use of inflammasomes as a potential therapeutic target in neurological disorders. Both the Boğaziçi University and the University of Bonn are partners of Karolinska Institutet through the NeurotechEU alliance.
Dr. Sergio Castro-Gomez has a multidisciplinary background in general medicine, neurology, and basic neuroscience, with a particular focus on the molecular mechanisms of learning and memory, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuroinflammation. He is currently a Neurology Physician-Scientist at the University Hospital Bonn, as well as a researcher, graduate lecturer, and Junior Research Group Leader at the Center for Neurology and the Institute of Physiology II at the University of Bonn, Germany.
