Lectures and seminars Faculty event with Dr Joanna Martin
Speaker: Joanna Martin
Title: Can genetic studies explain why females are less likely to be diagnosed with ADHD?
Abstract
ADHD is highly heritable and more commonly diagnosed in males than females. This talk will cover what we have learnt about the genetics of ADHD in the last decade and whether genetic studies can shed any light on the observed sex difference in ADHD prevalence. It will also consider social explanations for diagnostic patterns of ADHD and outline future areas of active research on this topic.
