Lectures and seminars CBB seminar: Surviving Survival Analysis. Part 1: From Time‑to‑Event Data to Kaplan–Meier Curves
The Center for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CBB) presents a biostatistics seminar.
Title: Surviving Survival Analysis. Part 1 – From Time‑to‑Event Data to Kaplan–Meier Curves
Speaker: Dr. Davide Valentini, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Huddinge
How do we describe what happens to patients over time? How do we handle incomplete follow‑up? And how can we summarize patient outcomes in a meaningful way?
In this educational seminar, Dr. Valentini will introduce the fundamental concepts of time‑to‑event data and survival analysis, with a focus on using Kaplan–Meier curves to illustrate outcomes over time. The session will also highlight key challenges such as censoring and will provide a foundation for more advanced analytical methods.
Before the seminar, a limited number of sandwiches and drinks will be served on a “First come – first served” basis starting 12:00. Show up early and network!
