Lectures and seminars Alumni Lecture Series - Saving lives at scale through Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC)

On 7 May we continue our Alumni Lecture Series to inspire a community that encourages health, science, knowledge and collaboration. An opportunity for alumni, students and researchers alike to learn, interact and network.
KI alumnus Carl Otto Schell is a researcher in the fields of global health, health systems, critical care and internal medicine. His focus is on exploring the potential of basic, feasible, low-cost actions in health care that are often overlooked in policy, research, and medical practice. Dr Schell initiated EECC and leads research in Africa, Asia and Sweden. He is also a senior consultant physician, specializing in internal medicine and Cardiology at the Department of Medicine of Nyköping Hospital. Additionally, he is and advisor to the WHO and holds an MD and PhD from KI.
Carl Otto will share provocative research findings and opportunities for large scale impact, along with insights and reflections from his research into acute care, global health and Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC).
