In the Swedish Research Council's latest call, 3 researchers were awarded from the Department of Laboratory Medicine. Congratulations!

In the Swedish Research Council’s funding for medicine and health, the following Labmed researchers have been awarded funding:

Ali Mirazimi, professor

Title: "Krim-Kongo blödarfebervirus: En integrerad resa från molekylär virus–värdinteraktion till human patogenes"
Project grant of total amount: SEK 5 400 000

Jakob Rostøl, assistant professor

Title: "Viral puppet masters – investigating the behaviours of (pro)phages within their bacterial hosts"
Starting grant of total amount: SEK 6 000 000*

*The researcher has declined the establishment grant as, in June this year, he received funding under the Swedish Research Council’s new initiative for the strategic recruitment of assistant professors. These two grants cannot be combined.

Mukesh Varshney, researcher
