StratNeuro awards three bridging grants at the consolidator level

The Bridging Grant is a funding initiative through which StratNeuro provides support to promising researchers with outstanding scientific merits, offering them the opportunity to further consolidate and strengthen their research.
Bridging grant 2025 recipients
- Daniel Ferreira Padilla: Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society. “INTEGRABLE – Integrating biomarker, clinical and neuropathologic data for the accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment of dementia with Lewy bodies”
- Federico Iovino: Department of Neuroscience. Neuronal damage during bacterial meningitis pathogenesis - Targeting bacterial interactions with brain cells to develop new therapeutic strategies
- Davide Liborio VETRANO Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society. Simulation-based interventions targeting biological pathways involved in multimorbidity development and its progession toward frailty and dementia.
Evaluation process
The StratNeuro Board invited neuroscience researchers who had reached the interview stage for the KI Consolidator Grant but had not been awarded funding to submit their project proposals. Following presentations and discussions with the candidates, the Board decided to award a three-year funding at the consolidator level to the researchers mentioned above.
