StratNeuro 2021 funding for Collaborative Neuroscience Projects
StratNeuro awards a total of 18 MSEK to six Collaborative Neuroscience Research Projects. 41 letters of intent from across 12 departments were received, of which the top ranking 1/3 (ranging seven departments at KI), were invited to submit full proposals for a second round of evaluation by an external evaluator panel.
The external evaluator panel consisted of the following researchers:

- Håkan Olausson, Linköping University
- Åsa Petersén, Lund University
- Mart Saarma, Helsinki University, Finland
After external evaluation, we are happy to announce that StratNeuro will fund the six top ranked submissions, which represents an overall success rate of 14.6%.
A total of 18 MSEK from the StratNeuro budget has been allocated to fund each project with 3 MSEK.

Project title: "Clonal and molecular organization of the mouse brain revealed by spatial transcriptomics"

Project title: "Novel immunotherapy targeting myeloid cells for neurological diseases: Drug repurposing and nanoengineering"
Project title: "Targeting neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration using artificial ligands"
Project title: "Roles for microglial diversity in brain development and autism spectrum disorders"

The gender ratio of the main applicants in the top 1/3 letters of intent, which were invited to submit full proposals, was 33.33% women and 66.66% men.
The gender ratio of the main applicants in the top 6 ranking proposals awarded the grant was 33.33% women and 66.66% men.
