SEK 9 million have been awarded from the Sjöberg Foundation
Two researchers at Karolinska Institutet have been awarded funds from the Sjöberg Foundation. The foundation promotes cancer research, and research on health and the environment.
- Thomas Helleday, at the Department of Oncology-Pathology, has been awarded SEK 3 million for the research project:
"OGG1 inhibitors as a novel strategy to treat MYC driven liver cancer". - Anna Pasetto, at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, has been awarded SEK 6 million for the research project:
"Identification of the neo-antigenome in Hepatocellular Carcinoma to guide T cells against relevant targets for successful immunotherapy".
The funding will be distributed over a three-year period. The foundation aims to promote scientific research with a main focus on cancer, health and the environment. To a lesser extent, other charitable purposes in health and the environment can be promoted.
