Recruitment of new KI president initiated
Karolinska Institutet (KI) president Ole Petter Ottersen’s term of office expires on 28 February 2023. The KI University Board (Konsistoriet) has therefore decided to begin an open recruitment process to propose a president and appoint a vice-president to take up office on 1 March 2023.
According to chapter 2 section 8 of the Higher Education Ordinance, a university president/vice-chancellor shall be appointed by government decision on the basis of a proposal from the board of governors (Konsistoriet). The appointment may be extended but no more than twice and for no more than three years at a time.
