Email to teams or groups with only one owner
Request to add at least one owner – this is how it works.
An automated email has been sent from Microsoft 365 to all employees who are listed as sole owners of a team or M365 group.
KI's recommendation is to always have at least two owners for M365 groups and teams. If an employee is absent for a long period of time or leaves KI, active users risk being unable to continue working in the best possible way.
It is strongly recommended to consider the needs and risks of your specific team/group and add a co-owner if you are the sole owner. However, nothing will happen to the group if you choose not to do so.
