New top position for KI in international subject ranking
When the QS World University Ranking by Subject for 2024 is published, KI retains its leading position among the world's and Europe's universities. Among other things, KI maintains its position as the EU's leading medical university.
In this year's QS World University Ranking by Subject, KI maintains its strong position in the subject "Medicine" with 7th place globally. KI also maintains the top position in the EU with place 1 in "Medicine" (place 4 in Europe).
KI has fallen a couple of places but still has strong rankings in several subjects – place 7 globally in "Dentistry" (place 4 in Europe), place 12 globally in "Pharmacy & Pharmacology" (place 5 in Europe) and 19 in "Nursing" (place 4 in Europe).
Top ten in Medicine and Life Sciences
KI also maintains a position in the top ten for the overall field of "Medicine and Life Sciences" (5th place in Europe). The overall "Life Sciences & Medicine" list is topped by Harvard University.
The QS ranking is mainly based on data on scientific production and global reputation surveys among academics.
