More than SEK 11 million for international collaborations in rare diseases

The Swedish Research Council has awarded project grants for international collaborations in rare diseases (EJP RD). Of the seven researchers awarded grants, four are researchers at Karolinska Institutet.

In total, the Swedish Research Council grants just over SEK 20 million for international collaborations in rare diseases (EJP RD) for the years 2023–2026. 

Seven researchers have been awarded project grants. Four of these are researchers at Karolinska Institutet and they have been awarded a total of SEK 11,200,000.

Susanna Brauner at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, is awarded SEK 2,400,000 in project grant for the project “Karaktärisering och optimering av vårdförloppet vid myastenia gravis" (Characterization and optimization of the course of care in myasthenia gravis).

Helena Karlström at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, is awarded SEK 3,600,000 in project grants for the project "CADASIL-Naturliga sjukdomsförloppet" (CADASIL-Natural disease progression).

Kristiina Tammimies at the Department of Women's and Children's Health, is awarded SEK 3,600,000 in project grants for the project " Utvecklingsbanor vid ARID1B-relaterad tillstånd - en prospektiv naturalistisk studie" (Development trajectories in ARID1B-related conditions - a prospective naturalistic study).
