MMK researchers receives funding from the Swedish Cancer Society

Congratulations to six researchers at the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery who receives research grant from the Swedish Cancer Society in their latest call.

Jesper Lagergren at the research group Upper GI Surgery receives SEK 7.500.000 for the project "Oesophageal and gastric cancer: Improved prevention, detection and treatment". 

Pernilla Lagergren at the research group Surgical Care Science receives SEK 3.750.000 for the project "Towards improved survivorship after oesophageal and gastric cancer surgery".

Anna Lindstrand at the research group Rare Diseases receives SEK 1.200.000 for the project "Resolving Structural Variant Complexity in Hematological Malignancies".

Ann Nordgren at the research group Rare Diseases receives SEK 3.000.000 for the project "Constitutional genetic aberrations behind childhood cancer predisposition".

Emma Tham at the research group Clinical Genetics receives SEK 3.000.000 for the project "Multi-omic analysis of liquid biopsies for cancer diagnostics, monitoring and early detection".

Christina Stragliotto at the research group Endocrine Surgery receives SEK 75.000 for the project "Scandinavian Sarcoma group".
