Malin Nygren-Bonnier receives funding from the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation
Malin Nygren-Bonnier, docent and head of the Division of Physiotherapy has been awarded a research grant from the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation.
The grant of SEK 400 000 will be used for the project "Rehabilitation of patients with long COVID-19 - development and evaluation of specific tailored interventions".
Persistent symptoms after COVID-19 were initially reported mainly in patients requiring intensive care, however, these symptoms can also present with so called long COVID-19. The aim of the project is to evaluate the effect of specific tailored interventions for physical and mental function, and health-related quality of life in patients with long COVID-19. The goal is further to describe the patients’ experiences after such interventions.
