KI-researcher awarded with ERC Proof of Concept Grant 2020
KI-researcher Simon Elsässer, Senior Researcher, is one of fifty-five grantees of the European Research Council (ERC) Proof of Concept funding to explore the commercial or societal potential of their research results.
The grants are part of the EU's research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020.
Simon Elsässer is a Principal Investigator at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics and also affiliated to the Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine. His research project "Highly multiplexed, quantitative epigenetic profiling" is awarded €150,000 from the ERC.
Proof of Concept grants is top-up funding that can be used for example to explore business opportunities, prepare patent applications or verify the practical viability of scientific concepts.
