KI Professor Birgitta Henriques-Normark discussed vaccine with Bill Gates

Professor Birgitta Henriques-Normark, Gates Foundation awardee at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology, Karolinska Institutet, met with Bill Gates when he visited Stockholm at the end of January.

Birgitta Henriques-Normark was awarded a grant from the Gates Foundation last year. 

On 23 January she and two of her colleagues, Staffan Normark and Ana Rita Narciso, met with Bill Gates as he visited Sweden and Karolinska Institutet, to discuss development of a new pneumococcal vaccine based on pneumococcal membrane vesicles.
