KI NeurotechEU awards support to collaborative projects within the alliance

The KI NeurotechEU Collaborative Awards were established to promote academic activities, organization of workshops and lectures, and mobility between KI and the other eight partner institutions within NeurotechEU.
The maximum award for this call was 75 000 SEK for lab exchange & projects and 40 000 SEK for travel grants, organizing workshops, inviting external lecturers and other activities. All applications were assessed by KI NeurotechEU scientific committee for their scientific quality and potential of the proposed project, the potential to establish or consolidate collaborations in education, research, and innovation, and the feasibility of the project in relation.
The projects funded are:
- "Exploring Breathing-Based Interventions to Improve Sleep, Recovery and Well-Being in Autistic Individuals: A NeurotechEUCollaborative Initiative" - 75 000 SEK were awarded to John Hasslinger (Department of Women's and Children's Health) for the development of a collaborative NeurotechEU initiative with Reykjavik University.
- "From population signal to human neural models: APOE-dependent responses to renin-angiotensin system modulation " - 75 000 SEK were awarded to Sara Garcia-Ptacek (Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society) for the research visit of Laura Sanchez Gomis to Dr Inmaculada Cuchillo-Ibáñez lab, at Instituto de Neurociencias UMH-CSIC, Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
- "NeurotechEU Symposium: Investigating Neural Circuits and Synapses with Advanced Imaging" - 40 000 SEK were awarded to Onur Dagliyan (Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics) for the organization of a symposium in collaboration with Christian Henneberger, University of Bonn.
- "The causal role of semantics in olfactory working memory: A TMS study" - 75 000 SEK were awarded to Shirley Lim (Department of Clinical Neuroscience) for a research visit primarily to Professor Vitória Piai lab at Donders Institute, Radboud University.
