Henrik Grönberg appointed stand-in pro-vice-chancellor at KI
At an extraordinary meeting on 29 February, the KI University Board appointed Professor Henrik Grönberg stand-in pro-vice-chancellor at Karolinska Institutet. He replaces the former pro-vice-chancellor Karin Dahlman-Wright, who was appointed stand-in vice-chancellor on 18 February.
Henrik Grönberg is a professor of cancer epidemiology and was formerly the head of the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
“Henrik Grönberg has combined successful research with administrative duties as a head of department and chair of the Consultative Assembly,” says University Board chairperson Lars Leijonborg. “The board deems him able to promptly assume the role of stand-in pro-vice-chancellor and to provide effective support for the vice-chancellor at a time when KI needs both stability and change.”
Henrik Grönberg will serve as stand-in pro-vice-chancellor from 7 March until such time as a permanent vice-chancellor takes up office.
