When Sophie took over as Head of Department nearly three years ago, she and the management team initiated a change programme aimed at creating a stronger department, with collaboration, sustainability and excellence in both research and teaching as its guiding stars. Now, the time has come to involve all FyFa staff in the change process, through a series of workshops called FyFa Dialogue.

FyFa Dialogue is an initiative designed to meet and engage all FyFa staff through dialogue-based workshops. These mandatory workshops, scheduled for the spring, will provide a platform for open discussions and support a sense of involvement and ownership in the change process.

Workshop Format

Each FyFa Dialogue session will bring together a specific group of staff members (e.g., PhD students, technicians and professors) for a structured, interactive workshop. These workshops will provide an open and creative space for dialogue on key strategic themes for FyFa and will discuss how they are relevant to participants’ roles.

During the sessions, participants will document their insights, ideas, and suggestions, which will then be integrated into the ongoing change process.

Purpose of FyFa Dialogue

The overarching aim of FyFa Dialogue is to inform, involve, and engage FyFa staff members in the department's strategic direction, to support a collaborative and inclusive culture, and to facilitate the implementation of the department's strategic changes. It also provides an excellent opportunity to get to know your peers.

The management team is committed to ensuring that all staff members feel involved, have their questions answered, understand the importance of these changes and their own roles in them”, says Sophie Erhardt.

Invitations will come shortly

A number of 4 h sessions will be held at Kurslabb during the spring, and you will be invited to one of these sessions. Refreshments (fika) will be provided. Invitations will be sent to each staff group shortly.

By promoting open communication and collaboration, FyFa Dialogue will play a crucial role in driving meaningful change and ensuring that every staff member feels valued and empowered in shaping FyFa’s future. I urge everyone to prioritise this mandatory workshop”, concludes Sophie Erhardt.
