CLINTEC professor awarded International Lifetime Achievement Award

Matthias Löhr, Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology – CLINTEC, has been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Association of Pancreatology (IAP) for his long-standing and significant contributions to pancreatic research and clinical development.
The award was presented at the joint annual meeting of the IAP and the European Pancreatic Club in Istanbul, 24–27 June 2026.
The award recognises Matthias Löhr’s significant contributions to clinical research, education and supervision in pancreatology.
Lifetime Achievement Award was established by AIP in 2017 to honor a person and recognise their outstanding contribution to Pancreatology spanning over decades in the area of clinical research, education, training, distinguished service to the organisation to promote its mission, and leadership.
