How to write a Kappa? Most doctoral students working on a compilation thesis face this question. The Doctoral programme in Public Health Sciences offers you the opportunity to participate in a practical workshop on how to developp and structure your own kappa. Attendance to the seminar is in person and the participation to all the sessions is mandatory.

The workshop is a full week of activity with three days with seminars and two days of individual work. To be eligible for the seminar you need to have done your half time seminar, have half of the publications to be included in your thesis accepted and be close to your doctoral defence or to apply for it.

The program is as follows:

  • Monday 12th January (full day, 9.00-16.30, with one hour lunch break): Revisiting the research questions and fitting the studies together.
  • Wednesday 14th January (half a day, 9.00-12.00): From results to main findings.
  • Friday 16th January (half a day, 9.00-12.00): Structuring the discussion.

The other days are dedicated to individual work.

Deadline for application is November 16th. However,  sooner if there is a high number of applicants the application period may be closed in advance, since applicants’ eligibility is assessed continuously. Registration closes when we have reached the maximum number of participants. The number of places is limited to 10.
