Conferences and symposiums Symposium in Honour of Professor Emerita Nancy Pedersen

Welcome to a symposium in honour of Professor emerita Nancy Pedersen! We want to celebrate Nancy for her long career in science and her outstanding contributions to MEB and Karolinska Institutet.
Nancy Pedersen is an internationally recognized researcher in the field of behavioral genetics and epidemiology, with a particular focus on diseases associated with ageing. Her research has aimed to increase our understanding of genetics and environmental factors, especially in relation to dementia.
Amongst other things Nancy Pedersen was responsible for the Swedish Twin Registry, which under her leadership developed into an internationally recognized research resource and she initiated the large-scale study LifeGene, two unique large scientific infrastructures at Karolinska Institutet.
