Bio

Anzhelika Vorobyeva, PhD, Associate Professor (Docent), is a researcher and group leader at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology at Uppsala University. She holds a degree in Pharmacy and received her PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. She then joined Uppsala University as a postdoctoral researcher, where she later became a Docent and established her independent research group. Her research focuses on the development and preclinical evaluation of protein-based targeting agents, particularly engineered scaffold proteins such as affibody molecules, for PET and SPECT molecular imaging, as well as radiolabeling approaches for the quantitative characterization of targeted protein-drug conjugates. Her group investigates several targets, including HER2, folate receptor alpha and ROR1, with the aim of improving the detection and treatment of solid tumors through precision oncology.
