Title

High-Impact Interactive Visualisation for Real-World Evidence studies

Abstract

Interactive visualization has moved from “nice to have” to a core instrument for exploring, analyzing, and communicating (pharmaco)epidemiologic evidence. This talk makes a high-level case for treating interactivity as part of the scientific process, illustrated with examples spanning clinical and safety decision-making, regulatory dialogue, market-access strategy, and public health. I will outline how the field is shifting toward accessible, engaging, and audit-ready web applications that surface assumptions and uncertainty. The aim is to spark a fear of missing out and give the audience ideas how interactive visualization can be applied in their projects. This session is a concise, high-level adaptation of a 90-minute R/Shiny workshop Máté delivered at the International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ICPE) in Washington, DC, this summer.

About the speaker

His research interests include registry-based studies, pharmacoepidemiology, health economics and data visualization.

Faculty lunch

Join the faculty event in Wargentin! After the seminar, the faculty lunch will be served in Ljusgården. The faculty lunches are intended for employees at MEB, and a monthly net salary deduction of 260 SEK will be made for those who work here 20% or more. If you have any questions about the lunch or specific dietary needs due to allergies, etc, please contact internservice@meb.ki.se. If you won’t be participating in the lunches for all or part of the spring term, our new routine is that you need to contact hr-support@meb.ki.se at the start of a new term, to be removed from the list. Retroactive adjustments will not be possible.

Please, check the labelling on the salads not to take special diet foods that were pre-ordered by your colleagues.
