Dr Dan Kastner, USA has pioneered the understanding of autoinflammatory syndromes and described a new group of rare autoimmune diseases, using ingenious genetic and immunologic methodologies. He has taken the basic understanding of these syndromes to successful therapeutic applications. Dan Kastner will provide us with an honorary lecture after receiving the Crafoord Prize in polyarthritis 2021 in Lund, Sweden earlier in the week for establishing the concept of autoinflammatory diseases.
