Attacks on health care in conflicts have increased and continues to destroy hospitals, kill and maim health care staff. In the ongoing war in Ukraine, conflicts in Gaza and Sudan health care facilities are targeted despite International Humanitarian Law (IHL) that states “Medical units exclusively assigned to medical purposes must be respected and protected in all circumstances”.

The situation calls for immediate action in order to protect healthcare staff and facilities, and ensure access to health care in conflicts.

We welcome you to an engaging evening of presentations and panel discussion, to highlight the issue and stimulate actions. Speakers and panelists include invited experts from the field, universities including IHL experts, the WHO, Médecins Sans Frontières, and more.
