Would you like to try a new way to reduce stress and increase your well-being? Sign up for the course Dance for Health.

Let the dance be a mental and physical oasis where your thoughts can rest for a while while you fill up with the joy of movement and community without the demands of performance.

The course is based on Anna Duberg's research-based method “Dans för hälsa”.

Class Structure (60 minutes)

  1. Warm-up
  2. Exercises
  3. Choreography
  4. Relaxation

Each dance session begins with an energizing warm-up designed to raise the heart rate as we move together to uplifting music. This is followed by exercises and playful activities that encourage participants to explore different ways of moving and challenge their creativity. We then learn a choreography set to a selected song. Every class concludes with a relaxation session.

Target Group

The course is intended for employees at Karolinska Institutet (with a ki.se email address) who sometimes experience symptoms such as worry, anxiety, low mood, sleep difficulties, fatigue, pain, loneliness, hopelessness, and/or similar challenges.

The group is limited to 15 participants.

Course Leader

Annika Lindahl, physiotherapist, dancer, and wellness specialist at the KI Health Hub.

“Dance for Health is a truly unique method that strengthens mental, physical, and social well-being—all at once! It is a great way to regularly make use of your wellness hour while ending the workday with joy, movement, and a sense of community.”
