Dr. Erle Robertson did his Ph.D. in Microbiologyand Molecular Genetics from Wayne University in 1992 and post-doc at Harvard Medical School. Heis currently a Professor of Microbiology, the Director of the Tumor Virology Training Program, at Pennsylvania State Universiry, Philadelphia

He studies virus-host interactions with a focus on viruses associated with cancers, in particular the two human gammaherpesviruses Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Kaposi's Sarcoma Herpesvirus (KSHV). His lab studies in particular EBNA 6(3C) and LANA, and their interactions with p53 pathway, Aurora kinase and the Ubiquitin and SUMO-ylation systems.
