The Center for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CBB) presents a biostatistics seminar with Dr. Caroline Dietrich

Titel: The Table 1 and Table 2 Fallacies

Talare: Dr. Caroline Dietrich

Caroline Dietrich has worked as a biostatistician at KI for over 15 years and is primarily active in the field of cancer survivorship research. In this seminar, she will discuss how to avoid common pitfalls when preparing Table 1 and Table 2 in research papers, including the use of statistical tests in descriptive tables (the Table 1 fallacy) and indiscriminate adjustment in tables reporting hazard ratios, odds ratios, or similar estimates (the Table 2 fallacy). She will also briefly address significance testing and the interpretation of p-values.

Before the seminar, a limited number of sandwiches and drinks will be served on a “First come – first served” basis starting 12:00. Show up early and network!
