Lectures and seminars CBB biostatistical teaching seminar: Experiment Design for Omics Technologies
The Center for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CBB) presents a biostatistical teaching seminar with Dr. Carsten Daub
Titel: Experiment Design for Omics Technologies
Talare: Dr. Carsten Daub
In the era of high-throughput biology, the success of a study can depend more on the design of the experiment than the complexity of the downstream analysis. Whether working with transcriptomics, proteomics or metabolomics, poor planning can lead to batch effects and confounding variables that render data difficult—or even impossible—to interpret.
This seminar provides a practical roadmap for researchers planning omics experiments. Key challenges related to high-dimensional data will be addressed, with a focus on how to maximize biological signal while minimizing technical noise.
Before the seminar, a limited number of sandwiches and drinks will be served on a “First come – first served” basis starting 12:00. Show up early and network!
